PERFORMING ON STAGE
If you would like to tread the boards and perform with us in front of appreciative audiences, you will need to audition to become a York Light member.
Auditions take place several times a year; where you will be expected to learn a short group dance routine on the day, and perform a vocal solo of your choice in front of a panel of York Light Committee Members.
Casting auditions for principal roles are held on a show by show basis for all members. Occasionally we hold open casting auditions, in this case there will be no separate audition to join.
COSTS
If you are successful in joining our adult company, there is a 'performance' fee if you go on to perform in one of our shows.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Are you passionate about theatre but don't want to appear on stage?
With opportunities in marketing, wardrobe and dressers, chaperones, backstage crew and front of house areas there is plenty to get involved with. As volunteers we can promise you a warm welcome, lots of fun, oh and a never ending supply of biscuits!
You don't need to audition or anything, just send us a message about why you want to volunteer and what skills/interests you can offer.
